PVC to Aluminium – Domestic Door Replacement
Our Glazing Team were contacted by Mr Avery, who wanted to make some enhancements to his property in Halifax. His intention was to make the most of the third floor South elevation, which overlooks gardens to the rear of his property. His existing PVC patio door set had not stood the test of time particularly well, was creating drafts and was difficult to operate in the summer months when the plastic profiles expanded from the Summers heat.
After our initial survey, our team proposed an aluminium sliding patio door arrangement and put forward Technals FY Tilt and Slide high performance aluminium patio door system. This system is not only more hard wearing, but also provides exceptional thermal performance and thin framework sightlines, accommodating an increase in natural daylight.

The works entailed the removal and replacement of the sliding patio door system, which was undertaken during the course of one day. Our team meticulously planned the installation to ensure minimal disruption to our customer. Additional care was taken to ensure all materials waste materials were collected and work areas tidied before our team left.
