Dortech Maintenance was recently engaged to replace an extremely large piece of glass at Bolton School 6th Form Centre.
The glass unit weighed over370kg and had to be removed and replaced using specialist lifting and handling equipment.
The cause of breakage had been determined as an impurity in the glass that has resulted in a stress fracture and eventual breakage.
All works were carried out during the course of a day and our team was awarded an excellent score on completion of the work.
