Dortech was contacted by the Holiday Inn Express in Bradford who had a number of issues relating to windows which had suffered from serious misuse by some of its customers. In a number of instances, room occupants had attempting to override the window locking mechanisms, causing handles to be ‘ripped off’, vents to drop, rainwater leaks, draughts and general security issues.
Following a full audit of the site and a successful trial, our glazing maintenance team was engaged to carry out a full window overhaul and installation of additional locking mechanisms.
Our work included the; removal of existing vents, installation of new locks, installation of new handles, new gaskets, secondary locking devices and a final clean down before re-installation.
The works were successfully completed within programme and the building management were very happy with the high level glazing service and quality our team offered.
The client was so happy with the work carried out, our Maintenance team has now been awarded a further six windows at the site.
