Dortech have just completed investigative and rectification works at Number One St James Gate, Newcastle Centre.
The team were commissioned by Project Management Company, CBRE to carry out this High Level Glass Replacement, which entailed a mixture of hosepipe and spray-bar water tests, the removal of glazing, checking of gaskets and seals.
Following the initial investigation and having established the cause of the leaks the building had experienced, our engineers, re-pointed the perimeters of all punch hole windows, re glazed curtain wall screens, introduced new butyl sealing strips and EPDM membrane to coping details.
Further water tests were then carried out to ensure the works were successful.
